This is Melissa's fifth year in the Newnan Junior Service League. Last year she served as the League's Vice President. She has also served as the League's Secretary. Melissa holds a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law from Samford University and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia. She is a Partner with Rosenzweig, Jones and MacNabb, P.C. Melissa is a native of Newnan and currently resides in Newnan with her husband, Jared, son, Caleb (3) and daughter, Mary Lois (6 weeks). Melissa encourages members to "sign up for as many events as possible so that you can get to see all of the ways that the league impacts our community and meet some really nice people."

Vice President: Julie Hoffman

Julie has served three years in NJSL. She was the Cookbook Chair last year. She has her B.B.A. from Columbus State University. Julie is a Sales Planner for CNN. She also enjoys being a Delta Zeta Alumni, reading, cooking, boating, and spending time with her friends and family. Julie is a native of Newnan where she has lived for 31 years. She says that one aspect of Newnan she loves is the great selection of eating establishments—Mama Lucia's, Fabiano’s, Sprayberry’s, Vinnie R’s, The Redneck Gourmet, and Andre’s. Julie is married to Andy and they are expecting their first child this October. Her favorite quote comes from Benjamin Franklin: "Well done is better than well said."

Secretary: Cindy Burkhart

Cindy has served five years in the league and has served as the Aging and Disabled Placement Chair in the past. She has a B.A. in History from Emory University. She is presently employee as a Flight Leader and Flight Attendant at Delta Air Lines. Cindy enjoyes her involvement with the newnan Presbyterian Church, running and water skiing. Her favorite league experience has been shopping for Christmas in Newnan and helping with the first annual Shamrock and Run event. Cindy is married to Kyle and they have three children: Gray (6), Worth (4), and Brooks (15 months).

Treasurer: Jenny Bryant

This is Jenny's third year in the League. Last year she served as the Co-Chair for the Casino Night fundraiser. Jenny graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 where she received a B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance. While at UGA she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is currently a Marketing and Sales Rep for Philadelphia Insurance Companies. Jenny is married to Blake Bryant and has lived in Newnan since 2004.

Public Relations: Christine Rice

Christine has served five years in NJSL. She has served many positions including President, Vice President, and as the Aging and Disabled Chair. Christine holds a B.A. in History from the University of Georgia and a M.A. in History from Georgia State University. Currently she is a Healthcare Consulting Associate for Dixon Hughes PLLC in Atlanta. Christine enjoys her volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, reading, and spending time with her family. Her hometown is Clarkston, Georgia but she has called Newnan home for over six years. She says her favorite place in Newnan is her house where she lives with her husband, Matt and her three month old son, Alexander. Her favorite quote is, "Shoot for the moon—even if you miss you will land among the stars!"

Placement Chair: Lisa Jennings

Lisa has been in the league for three years and held the offices of Cookbook Chair and Treasurer. She attended the University of Georgia and is currently a Real Estate Agent with Lindsey's Realtors. Lisa is a native of Newnan where she currently lives with her husband, Jay. They are expecting their first child in November. Lisa's best league experience has been working the booth at Power's. Her advise to new members is to have fun and remember we are working for our community!

Provisional Chair: Ashley Roberts

This is Ashley's third year in the League. Last year she served as the Co-Chair for the Casino Night fundraiser. Ashley holds a B.B.A. in Business and Marketing from LaGrange College. For the past four years she has served as the Director of Marketing for Thomas Enterprises. Ashley is a native of Newnan where she now resides with her husband, Ryan and son.

Cookbook: Michelle Ward

Michelle has served three years in the League. She has been the Christmas In Newnan chair and the Public Relations chair. She also volunteers her time with the First Baptist Church of Newnan where she is a member of the nominating committee. Michelle also enjoys her role as the Operations Advisor for the Collegiate Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity at the University of West Georgia. Michelle has a B.A. in Business Administration in Management from the University of West Georgia. Currently, Michelle works for Coweta County Planning and Zoning Department as a Zoning Planner. Michelle's hometown is San Diego, California but has lived in Newnan for the past six years. She is married to Guy Ward and together they have a one-year old named Brady. Michelle advises new members to start on their hours now so you don't have to get the majority of hours at the end of the year.

Past President: Jill Meeker

Jill has served four years in the Junior League. Jill has held many positions including Auction Chairperson, Provisional Chairperson, Vice-President and President for the 2006-2007 year. Jill says that her year as President was her favorite she has served in the league because the membership worked so hard and did so much to impact the community. "It was very rewarding!" Jill has a BBA from the University of Georgia and a M.Ed from Georgia State University. Jill currently works for the Fulton County School system as a Curriculum Support Teacher. Jill also finds time to hold membership in Alpha Omicron Pi Alumni Association and is a member of the Welcome Team at Southcrest Church. Her hometown is Fairburn, Georgia but has lived in Newnan for the last fifteen years. Jill is happily married to Ted and they have three children, Brock, Ann Marie, and Lily.
